Dental practices

A patient in pain shouldn’t get voicemail.

Patients call during procedures, at lunch, and at 9pm with a broken crown. The receptionist answers every one, books the appointment, and handles the insurance questions your front desk answers all day.

The problem

The front desk can’t be in two places

Line two rings during chair time

You’re mid-procedure. Your front desk is checking in the next patient. A new patient with a chipped tooth is on line two, and after four rings they hang up and call the practice down the street.

The 9pm broken crown

Dental pain doesn’t keep office hours. A voicemail at 9pm isn’t reassuring. It sends the patient to whoever has an emergency line.

“Do you take Delta Dental?”

The same insurance and coverage questions, on repeat, all day. Each one pulls your team away from the patient standing at the desk.

What it does

What the receptionist handles for a dental practice

  • Books new and existing patients into real openings: cleanings, exams, fillings, consultations. No “let me call you back to confirm.”
  • Answers insurance questions from your accepted-plans list and explains benefits in general terms, without promising what a plan covers.
  • Handles pain calls calmly. Urgent cases get your on-call number, true emergencies get sent to the ER, and the rest get the first opening tomorrow.
  • Takes the details every time: name, callback number, whether they’re a current patient, what hurts and for how long.
  • Sends reminders by text and offers rescheduling when someone can’t make it, so the chair doesn’t sit empty.
  • Texts your front desk a summary and emails the transcript after every call.

Hi, I think I cracked a molar. It hurts when I bite down. Are you taking new patients?

We are, and I’m sorry you’re hurting. Is there any swelling, or is it mainly when you bite?

Mainly when I bite.

Okay. The doctor has an opening tomorrow at 9:40. Shall I hold that for you?

Yes please. Do you take Delta Dental?

We do. You’re booked for 9:40, and I’ve texted you the confirmation and the new-patient form.

How it works

Live in five business days

  1. Tell us about your practice

One short call: your services, the plans you accept, hours, the doctors’ names, and how you want pain calls handled after hours.

  2. We build it and test it with you

We write the receptionist, connect your scheduling and inbox, and run it through real scenarios: a new patient in pain, a rescheduling call, an insurance question.

  3. Go live, then we keep tuning

Forward your line and every call is answered. We listen to real calls each month and adjust as your services and plans change.

Front Desk is $297 a month plus a one-time $750 setup, with 300 minutes of calls included. Websites start at $297 a month with nothing down. Every rate and setup fee is on the pricing page.
Frequently asked

Questions dentists ask

Will it give dental advice?

No. It doesn’t diagnose or quote treatment. It takes the symptoms, decides urgency by your rules, and books the visit. Clinical questions go to your team.

Can it tell a patient what their insurance covers?

It can say which plans you accept and explain in general terms how benefits work. It doesn’t promise coverage or quote a deductible, because that goes wrong. Specific coverage questions get a callback from your front desk.

What about patient privacy?

Calls are recorded and transcribed for your records, and the data is encrypted in transit. Before you go live we go through exactly what it stores, who can see it, and what it never asks for, and you approve it.
