The questions owners ask before they call.
Plain answers on the receptionist, the website and the Google work. Anything else, ask on the demo call or through the contact page.
The receptionist
Will customers accept an AI receptionist?
Many still prefer a person: 79% strongly preferred human support in SurveyMonkey’s survey. But a separate CallRail survey found 52% saw after-hours AI help as a sign of better service. Neither is a direct test of HCD against voicemail. We use AI for routine calls, with a route to your team when it matters. What does it actually do on a call?
It takes the name, number, address and what is wrong, answers questions about your services and hours, and books the job onto your calendar. Your team gets a summary after every call.
What if the caller needs a real person?
It transfers. You set the rules: urgent requests, certain questions or particular callers go to your team. Everything else gets booked or waits for morning.
Does it speak Spanish?
Yes. It answers in English or Spanish based on how the caller talks.
Websites and Google
Does a website still matter if I get referrals or Google reviews?
Yes. In BrightLocal’s survey, 54% said they would visit a business’s website after reading positive reviews. A referral gets their attention; your site answers the rest and shows how to reach you. BrightLocal, 2026 · Survey of 1,002 US adults ↗
Do I own the website?
Yes. On the monthly plan it is yours after the 12th payment, site and domain. Or buy it outright for $1,500 and it is yours from day one. The details are on the pricing page.
Do I own my AI receptionist?
Your business information and customer records stay yours. HCD sets up and manages the receptionist on paid AI and phone platforms, so there is no payoff date like a website. If you leave, we export your business information and available call records.
Can you get me to the top of Google?
No, and be careful with anyone who says they can. Google does not sell rankings. What we promise is the work, and a written record each month of what was done.
Billing and setup
Do I have to sign a contract?
The receptionist and Google plans are month to month, with 30 days’ notice. A website is 12 monthly payments with nothing down; after that it is yours, and you can stay on care month to month or leave. The details are on the pricing page.
What happens if I go over my minutes?
Front Desk includes 300 minutes of calls a month; Front Desk + Follow-Up includes 600. Past that it is $0.35 a minute, only for minutes used, or add 300 extra minutes for $99 a month.
How fast can I be live?
The receptionist typically within five business days: one short call, then we build it, test it with you and you forward your line. Standard websites can go live in as little as one week after onboarding, access and approvals.
Still have a question?
The quickest answer is hearing it. Leave a number and the receptionist can ring you in about a minute.
No payment required. No obligation.
